The High Price of Aerial Gunning
At least 121 wolves were killed by private hunters this season, bringing the 5-year total to nearly 800 wolves.  This senseless and scientifically-indefensible killing is done to artificially boost caribou and moose populations for the benefit of mostly urban hunters.

The Song Remains the Same with the Board of Game 
All three of Palin’s lack-luster appointments to the Board of Game -- including middle school basketball coach Lew Bradley -- were approved by the Legislature last month.  Unfortunately, without more diverse opinions and experience on this influential unelected body, the Game Board will likely continue to push an extreme, interest-group-driven agenda.
