Iran releases five UK embassy staff

Five of the nine British embassy workers in Tehran who were arrested on Saturday have been released.

The local staff had been accused of playing a role in the disturbances which followed Iran's disputed presidential elections.

Heavy restrictions have been placed on the BBC and other foreign news organisations. Reporters are not allowed to cover unauthorised gatherings or move around freely in Tehran but there are no controls over what they can say.
