There are many competing websites, books and DVDs available when it comes to the subject of guitar lessons for beginners. For novices it can be very difficult to know which method of guitar instruction is best especially if you have no experience whatsoever.

This time honoured practice is still probably the best assuming you can actually find a good local tutor, there may not be one present.
