I think humans create what life means to them. I also think that our purpose in life is to live and grow in our abilities and knowledge about the universe. I am an atheist because all of our ideas about god are incorrect. They are constantly changing and even being replaced as human culture develops. I prefer to accept that there are mysteries about the universe that we don't know but I am hopeful that will have the ability to understand them in the future.

There are many misconceptions about the Big Bang. One is the universe was created spontaneously out of nothing. All we really know is the state of the universe near the Big Bang singularity. We do not fully understand the laws of physics which will tell how the Big Bang worked and perhaps what came before. The improbability of our universe existing isn't necessarily evidence of god. Given enough rolls of the dice, you'll eventually get an unusual result.
