Hiccup Remedy

First, tilt your head back; not all the way though. Maybe half way or just over half way.


Next, you're going to be taking a deep breath so be sure to exhale thoroughly and then inhale, starting at the bottom of your lungs, filling them all the way up.


Then, take 7 or 8 sips of water. If you don't have water, that might be why you got the hiccups in the first place. Drink plenty of water every day. If you don't have water, use another liquid, but make sure it's not a soda or otherwise carbonated beverage, or alcohol. (Alcohol intake may be the reason you have uncontrollable hiccups as well. Remember the best "cure" for anything is to prevent getting it in the first place.)


Keep holding your breath as you take your sips. Then give a long exhalation and your hiccups should be gone.
