MONTREAL - A Montreal man will be arraigned Monday after he was jumped by patrons while trying to rob a bar.
The 31-year-old man entered an east-end bar shortly before closing time early Saturday and demanded money.
He fired one shot into the floor.
But customers in the bar quickly surrounded him and then jumped him.
They beat him severely and held him until police arrived.
He was taken to hospital but Montreal police say his injuries have not put his life in danger.
