An Alamogordo High School coach has been arrested on multiple charges of criminal sexual penetration of a minor

James Javier Cruz, 29, was arrested Wednesday on allegations of five counts of having sex with a minor and three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

DPS was given information Tuesday by the Alamogordo school district that a high school coach may have had a sexual relationship with a member of one of the teams he coached

Cruz is the head girls soccer coach at the high school and also the junior varsity girls basketball coach
