BRITAIN'S couch potato culture is killing one person every 15 minutes but a cure may lie in the bedroom.
A campaign has been launched to combat the nation’s sedentary lifestyles, which are blamed for thousands of avoidable fatal heart attacks each year.
Top of the activities which can be incorporated into daily life is regular sex, says the British Heart Foundation.
Alongside a regular romp with your partner, washing the car and walking the dog, could help prevent a heart attack.
Dr Mike Knapton, director of prevention and care at the BHF, said: “It’s an alarming thought that inactivity kills someone in the UK every 15 minutes. These deaths are avoidable and the solution is simple and achievable.
“We can all make excuses, but at the end of the day it’s up to individuals to make the change, to get up and to get active.”
