Researchers in the UK are seeking ethical permission to produce synthetic sperm cells from a woman’s bone marrow tissue after showing that it possible to produce rudimentary sperm cells from male bone-marrow tissue. The treatment would enable the creation of an all-female Amazonian society which systematically hobbled its male slaves, or eliminated the Y chromosome defectives altogether. Oh, and it also might cure male infertility and allow a few lesbian couples to have children without donated sperm.
