The easiest thing to do would be to take the Light Rail (avoid lots of traffic) down to Liberty State Park in Jersey City, where the fireworks start at 9 p.m. And while you're there, grab a drink/dinner at The Pointe at Port Liberte, Liberty House or City Vino in Paulus Hook. Take advantage of City Vino's July 4th special -- all American wines by the glass are two for the price of one!

You can watch the fireworks from either the Seaport or FDR Drive, which will be closed to traffic from the Staten Island Ferry Terminal all the way up to 42nd Street from 7 pm to 10 pm tomorrow night. Pedestrian access to FDR Drive will be at the Brooklyn Bridge, 23rd, 34th, 38th and 42nd streets.
And if you happen to be in Brooklyn tomorrow night, the Brooklyn Heights promenade also makes a lovely viewing spot.
