Elisabeth Fritzl enjoyed her first Mother's Day with five of her children yesterday as it emerged she is adjusting remarkably well to life outside the cellar dungeon that was home for 24 years.

the children gave Elisabeth flowers as they sat down for a meal together.

Elisabeth

has been described as "a tower of strength" by those who have met her.

And she is also developing a close bond with the three children, who were taken from her shortly after she gave birth and raised "upstairs

"Elisabeth is really an impressive person. She is very strong, she's a tower of strength. She's happy now for the first time.


It is really brilliant how Elisabeth has reacted to the outside world.

"Her biggest wish now is to have the family together and to have the best for her children. They need time to heal and to grow together. Everything else is secondary for her.


"If you met her you would not realise what she has been through, as she seems just like every normal person."
